How to setup Google Analytics feed
Treepl CMS allows you to integrate Google Analytics views into the Admin Dashboard. This guide will help you configure your Google Analytics and your site Treepl CMS, so that the data is pulled from Google Analytics into the Admin area.
Requirements
In order to configure the integration you would need to have:
- Valid account on Google Analytics
- Paid website on Treepl CMS with Google Analytics tracker installed
Steps
You can complete the task of configuring the integration following the next steps:
- Step 1 Google APIs project configuration
- Step 2 Google Analytics configuration
- Step 3 Treepl CMS Admin configuration
Step 1: Google APIs project configuration
- Go to https://console.developers.google.com/projectcreate
- Create new project
- Select project
- Go to API
- Enable APIs and Services
- Type "Analytics" and choose Analytics and Analytics Reporting
- Enable API
- Go to Сredentials and click ‘Сreate service account key’
- Setup account, set role viewer
- Click ‘Create’ and save json file
- Click ‘Manage service account’
- Copy service account email
Step 2: Google Analytics configuration
- Go to Google Analytics https://analytics.google.com/
- Select Account -> Property -> View for the current site
- Click Admin -> View User Management
- Click Add
- Insert saved previously copied email, add read and analyse permission and click ‘Add’
- Go to View Settings and copy View Id
- Go to Property Settings and copy Tracking Id
Step 3: Treepl CMS Admin configuration
- Go to Treepl admin -> Settings -> Setup Analytics and fill form with previously copied
- Tracking Id
- View Id
- Service Account Key File
